Hello, I am Anukankshaa
Here to support you, in your mental well-being
For me, therapy is a journey of finding ourselves and untangling our thoughts. As a therapist, I strive to be the one next to you, holding your map and flashlight while you drive.
For over five years, across more than a thousand hours of sessions, I have worked with young adults facing anxiety, loneliness, questions of meaning, identity and relationships. My work is rooted in Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy, where we get to know the different parts of you and the stories you carry. If you are looking for something shorter and more goal-focused, I also draw on CBT techniques.
I am also deeply interested in Indian Psychology, Adlerian theory, and psychodynamic concepts. Together we can make sense of the thoughts and patterns keeping you stuck, build steadier ways of coping, and re-author the stories you tell about yourself.
Well-being does not exist in isolation. It is shaped by your gender, caste, class, culture, family history, generational patterns and the political times you live in, and all of that is welcome in the therapy room. Your stories shape you, and you get to shape them back.
I regularly go for therapy and supervision whenever required.
Outside the therapy room, I am a lover of slow mornings, a thrilling true-crime, a cozy rom-com, a good novel, and copious amounts of caffeine.
A blend of depth and focus
We can go slowly and curiously into the parts of your story that need it, and still keep clear intentions and goals we agree on together.
Direct work, no middle layer
You work with me from the first conversation to the last, with no handovers and no repeating your story to someone new.

Interest areas
These are the themes I work with most often. You do not need a neat label for what is going on in order to begin.
How we work together
Safety and trust first
Every session is a confidential, non-judgemental space that belongs entirely to you. Trust is the building block of any relationship, especially a therapeutic one.
Collaboration
Healing is not linear. We can set intentions and goals for what you want out of therapy, together, and revisit them as your work changes.
Context matters
Mind, body, social and cultural context all matter. You are part of a system which you influence, and which influences you back.
